What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a healing system based on the principle of "like cures like". It takes substances from nature and uses them in a potentised form to treat all kinds of illness. It gently encourages the body to heal itself and has no harmful side effects. There are currently thousands of remedies available to us, and you need the skill of a trained homeopath to select the right one. It works with the body rather than against it, and its effects can be profound and long-lasting. Read my own story below.
How homeopathy helped me
In 2014 I was a mum of two young children (ages 8 and 6) doing a full time training course and looking after the kids and house too. I contracted parvovirus B19 (also known as "slapped cheek" virus) from the kids and was in bed with flu-like symptoms for 3 weeks. In the 2 years that followed I caught every cold, flu and stomach bug going, my energy levels were on the floor. On top of all this, my digestion, which had never been great, also took a massive dive.

Someone on my training course casually said, "have you tried homeopathy?". I booked to see a homeopath and he gave me some little white pills. Then slowly, gently but very, very surely everything started to improve. My guts got better. I stopped picking up every little bug from the kids. My energy levels went up....then up....then up some more!

If you'd asked me about homeopathy prior to my health crisis I would have said "that's a load of new age nonsense, no?" but that was before I got the end of my tether. I was sick of going to the GP, doing blood tests to find out why I was so ill and my energy was so low, only to be told every single time, "there's nothing wrong with you".
